BIEK seeks report on poor performance from private colleges

KARACHI: Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has written letters to private educational institutions securing less than 33 percent results in the annual examinations of intermediate, second-year science and pre-medical.

In a notification, the board on Tuesday directed directorates of private institutions, colleges and schools to submit detailed reports on poor performance in annual examinations within 10 days.

The board also instructed that a special inspection committee must be formed to investigate the causes of bad performance and the committee would also present recommendations for better educational system in private sector.
