The local health department planned to appoint permanent members to the board of governors for public sector medical teaching institutions in Peshawar within a fortnight.
Acting health secretary Idrees Khan Marwat said new health secretary would direct briefings on departmental affairs, including the appointment of permanent members to MTIs boards.
The search and nomination council would be formed in line with the law to recommend permanent members to the board of governors for the next three years while the health department will make a formal decision concerning appointments.
Currently, all members of MTIs boards are operating on a temporary basis.
