ATC awards 29 years prison sentence to former student on charges of terrorism

A former student was sentenced to 29 years in prison by an anti-terrorism court (ATC) on charges pertaining to terrorism and possessing illicit arms and explosives.

The convict, Syed Rehan Zaidi, was also ordered to pay a fine of Rs0.15 million.

Cases against Zaidi had been registered under Pakistan Penal Code Sections 353 and 324.

He had also been booked under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
