KARACHI: The bail application of former Malir SSP Rao Anwar, accused of being involved in the killing of Naqeebullah Mehsud, was challenged on Wednesday in Sindh High Court (SHC).
Father of deceased, Muhammad Khan challenged the bail through his counsel Faisal Siddiqui and pleaded that Rao Anwar is the primary accused in Naqeebullah Mehsud case and giving bail to the accused without hearing the view of the petitioner would be a great injustice.
It was maintained that the bail of Rao Anwar should be cancelled and the accused should be arrested, against whom two cases are under process.
It is worth mentioning here that an anti-terrorism court (ATC) has granted bail to former Malir SSP Rao Anwar accused of being involved in the killing of Naqeebullah Mehsud and four others in a fake encounter.
