Former TV actor Aisha Khan’s mother-in-law has been elected as a Member of the National Assembly in the General Elections 2018 on the reserved seats.
Asma Qadeer’s name was on the list of 18 ‘priority candidates’ nominated by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for 33 reserved National Assembly seats for women from Punjab. Asma has been a prominent member of the party and has been serving the PTI for long.
Sharing the news on social media, Aisha said, “20 years of hard work, dedication and untiring determination – all for Naya Pakistan! From mommy-in-law to MNA! Love you.”
Aisha Khan got married to Major Uqbah Hadeed in April after bidding farewell to the entertainment industry.
