MULTAN: A police officer and his two accomplices were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly raping a girl in Multan’s Shah Shams area.
Reportedly, Assistant Sub-Inspector Tariq and his two friends allegedly raped the girl in Shah Shams Police precincts.
“The assistant sub-inspector was arrested after the girl filed a complaint against him,” an officer said, adding that raids are being made to arrest the other two suspects.
The girl has been shifted to a hospital for medical check-up.
Earlier, in January, an Elite Force officer was arrested on charges of raping and blackmailing a 15-year-old boy in Haripur.
The boy told the police that the accused ‘raped him multiple times’ and also made a video of the heinous act.
The video was used to blackmail him into having sexual relations with the accused and his friends.
