Imran says PTI lost 2013 elections due to inexperience

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Monday said that his party could not secure enough seats in 2013 general elections owing to the lack of experience.

In an interview with PTV, he said in last elections, eighty per cent of the candidates of his party were novice and inexperienced but the situation is different now.

Imran said his party will contest 2018 general elections with full preparation. He said the PTI had issued tickets for elections in 232 National Assembly constituencies.

The PTI chairman said that he had always fought against corruption.

He said that according to a survey, the least amount of corruption was recorded in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Speaking of their performance in the province, he said that his party-led government established 15 new hospitals in KP, besides upgrading old hospitals.

Regarding Punjab province, Khan claimed that his party’s graph was rising in the province.

Imran claimed PTI will bring back the lost glory of the country. He said his government will provide jobs to people and improve the tax collection mechanism, as without taxes no country can move forward.
