It is sad that the ideological workers of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf were mostly ignored during the ticket awarding session of the party, says Ehsanullah Ehsan.

Speaking to reporters in Rawalpindi, Ehsan said that he felt betrayed when the likes of Shafqat Mehmood and Shah Mehmood Qureshi were given tickets but those who had joined the party because of ideology were sidelined.

“Am I angry that I wasn’t awarded a ticket? No, but really disappointed,” he said.

“I worked tirelessly for the party during the 2013 elections in KP. But was that kept into account? No.”

“I still remember his speeches that first attracted me to his party, when he spoke of the glory of the jehad against the Americans and how he envisions an Islamist Pakistan in the future,” he said wistfully.

“Because of those moments I let the whole dancing-at-dharnas thing slide and did not leave the party.” “I’m giving him one last chance
