RAHIM YAR KHAN: On the orders of Punjab Wildlife and Parks Director General Khalid Ayaz Khan, a raiding team of the department, led by District Wildlife Officer Mujahid Kaleem, arrested six hunters red-handed, reported a local English newspaper.
The hunters were involved in in the illegal hunting of Chinkara in Cholistan Toba Kandi Wala area, while Rs 0.23 million in hunting fees was extracted from them.
The arrests were made during the drive against illegal hunting and protect wildlife. The officials of the department told media that district wildlife officer received a tip that a hunting party had entered the Cholistan and was involved in illegal hunting of Chinkara.
