SHIKARPUR: A woman and her alleged lover were shot dead allegedly by the woman’s husband and brother pertaining to the custom of Karo Kari on Monday, according to police.
The 25-year-old woman, Nasreen Lolai, was allegedly gunned down by her brother, Kamal Lolai, and her husband, Ghulam Sarwar after the accused alleged that she had extra-marital relations with Bashir Ahmed.
Police claimed that the suspects had fled from the village after the incident happened.
Bodies of the deceased were shifted to Shikarpur Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination and then later handed over to their heirs.
SHO [Station House Officer] Ashique Shahani said that a First Information Report (FIR) had been lodged against the suspects on behalf of the state.
