LAHORE: The Punjab Healthcare Commission on Tuesday closed down 106 businesses of quacks in different districts, reported a local media outlet.
According to a press release, the action was carried out in Gujranwala, Pakpattan, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Vehari, Faisalabad, Muzaffargarh, Jhang, Jhelum, Khanewal, Mianwali, Chakwal, Okara, Rajanpur, Sargodha and Lahore. The PHC teams were being accompanied by officials of the district administration and police. The teams visited 382 treatment centres and closed down 106 of them being run by quacks.
