LAHORE: Punjab Assembly’s Opposition Leader Mian Mahmud ur Rasheed on Wednesday wrote to the Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif demanding an apology for falsely claiming that the load shedding had ended in Pakistan.
In the letter, the PTI leader has maintained that the government had announced 2017 as the last year of load shedding in Pakistan. On the ground level, however, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader claimed electricity shortage int he country has reached three thousand megawatts.
He further demanded that the government make all the details of energy projects public and form judicial commission to investigate irregularities in the ongoing projects.
