ISLAMABAD: An incident of firing was reported in Islamabad, killing one person with another injured after unnamed men indiscriminately shot bullets on a car.
According to police, the armed men opened fire at the rival’s car within the vicinity of Sabzi Mandi police station of Sector I-11, near Pirwadhai in the federal capital.
The indiscriminate firing resulted into killing a man on the spot critically while injuring another. The perpetrators fled the scene whereas police shifted the body and injured person to a nearby hospital.
The preliminary investigation suggests it is likely to be a case of personal enmity. Police registered a case against those involved and said to have raided several areas to arrest them.
The jurisdiction of Sabzi Mandi has remained a centre of all types of illegal activities in the past with several crimes reported.
