ISLAMABAD: A ban has been imposed on the sale of energy drinks in the government-run educational institutions in Islamabad.
The sale of carbonated and energy drinks has not only been banned at the canteens in the educational institutions but also been disallowed in the surrounding areas of the schools and colleges.
According to media reports, the federal directorate of education has issued a notification in this regard. The sale of the carbonates and energy drinks is giving a rise to health problems and spreading diseases among the students, therefore, the ban has been put in place on their sale in educational institutions.
The principals of the respective educational institutions and area education officers have been directed to comply with the orders of the imposition of ban strictly. The violators of these orders will be dealt with sternly.
