KOHAT: A youth gunned down a female medical student for rejecting marriage proposal here on Sunday and fled the scene.
Police said that accused Mujahid wanted to tie the knot with Asma, a medical student of third year at Abbottabad Medical College, but she rejected the proposal.
The culprit disgruntled over the rejection of the wedding proposal opened fire at the girl outside her residence in Kohat soon after she reached home on leave, killing her on the spot. The culprit fled the scene after committing the murder and the body was shifted to hospital for postmortem.
The police after registering a case against the murderer has started raids for his arrest.
