HYDERABAD: At least 40,000 litres petrol spilled on the Super Highway near Nooriabad Chowki No-7 Hyderabad on Friday when an oil tanker turned turtle.
Eye-witnesses said that the accident occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle, spilling the 40,000 litres petrol on the Super Highway.
A heavy contingent of police reached the spot and cordoned off the area and also blocked the road to avoid any untoward incident.
Police and rescue teams spread sand on the spilled petrol and opened the road for traffic.
