KARACHI: Pakistan Coast Guard (PCG) has arrested five persons involved in smuggling of diesel and recovered 75000 liters of Iranian diesel from their possession.

The PCG team, acting on a secret information about smuggling of the Iranian diesel, started checking at the entry point of Sindh, Balochistan border near Karachi, said a press release issued by PCG here on Friday.

As a result, 75000 liters smuggled diesel worth Rs 2435 million was seized from two oil tankers. The diesel was being transported from Gwadar to Karachi by illegal way. Five people involved in the smuggling were also arrested from the spot. Further investigation is underway.
