High level meeting reviews arrangements for Quaid Day celebrations

LAHORE: The Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting here on Tuesday during which the arrangements of different programs and ceremonies planned in connection with the upcoming Quaid-e-Azam day were reviewed.

Addressing the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif said that all the Quaid-e-Azam day ceremonies will be held in a befitting manner in the provincial capital, as well as, other areas of the province. Special functions will be held in educational institutions and all the planned ceremonies regarding this occasion will continue for seven days in Punjab.

The chief minister said that the arrangements, ceremonies and other programs should be according to the stature of the founder of the nation.

The CM said that Quaid-e-Azam wanted equal opportunities for all the people and that Pakistan was envisioned by him as a state based on the principles of prosperity, peace, enlightenment and equality.

He said that the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) is striving for such a Pakistan and added that Quaid-e-Azam day should be celebrated with complete zeal and fervour to sensitize the new generation about the founder’s vision for the nation.

Walled City Lahore DG and the secretary schools’ education gave a briefing on the ceremonies, programs and other arrangements made for the day.

Provincial ministers Rana Mashhood Ahmed, Jahangir Khanzada, Punjab government spokesman Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan, chief secretary, ACS (Home), IGP, concerned secretaries, Lahore division commissioner and others attended the meeting.
