CJP takes notice of fee hike in medical colleges

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar has taken suo moto notice of exorbitant fees being charged by private medical colleges and lack of uniform admission policy in these colleges.

Taking notice of the issue, he sought a detailed report from the Registrar, Pakistan Medical and Dental Council Islamabad within a week.

The Medical and Dental Council has been asked to explain the criteria of merit for admission at private medical colleges and fee structure.
