MULTAN: A woman seeking divorce was murdered by her husband in Bahawalnagar, Punjab on Tuesday.
According to the Daharanwala police, the incident took place in the Chishtiyan area when the woman, Mariam Bibi, 30, was working in the fields. Her husband, Shahnawaz, 37, came there and opened fire on her.
Locals told the press that the couple had been married for three years.
The police have registered a case and launched an investigation while the body of the departed has been sent for post-mortem.
