KASUR: Two under custody robbers among three were killed while five managed to escape in an encounter during an attempt to escape from police custody on Wednesday.
According to details, the police was taking two under custody robbers for recovery of looted valuables when their accomplices attacked the police van in Jagowala area of Kasur.
The police retaliated the attack and an exchange of fire took place. In cross firing two under custody robbers among three were killed while five of their accomplices managed to flee from the scene.
Bodies of the killed robbers were shifted to hospital for postmortem.
