GUJRANWALA: A female student of Punjab University (PU) Gujranwala Campus committed suicide by consuming toxic pills.
Police said that Ghazala, a student of PU Gujranwala residing in a hostel on late Monday evening consumed toxic pills for unknown reasons due to which her condition deteriorated.
She was rushed to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital where despite all-out efforts of medics she breathed her last on Tuesday morning. The body was handed over to heirs after medico-legal formalities.
Reasons for the suicide could not be ascertained, however, the police were investigating into the matter.
