LAHORE: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is attending a meeting chaired by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Nawaz Sharif in Lahore’s Jati Umra.
Reports confirmed that National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Minister for Interior Affairs Ahsan Iqbal, Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah are also attending the meeting. Moreover, former informational minister Pervaiz Rasheed also reached Jati Umra to attend the meeting.
As per reports, the meeting is being held to discuss the ongoing political and security situation in the country as well as mulling on the party’s strategy for the upcoming general elections. The participants of the meeting will also discuss cases under trial in courts against the Sharif family.
Earlier on Sunday, PM Abbasi reached Lahore where he met Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
