Establishment needs to stop meddling in politics: Kaira

LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira, while showing reservations on the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) alliance, said establishment needs to stop meddling in politics, and a judicial commission should be formed to probe the actual story behind the MQM-P and the PSP’s short-lived alliance.

Demanding that the establishment needs to stop interfering in politics, Kaira said on Saturday that “[PSP chief] Mustafa Kamal’s allegations must be taken seriously and investigated.”

Earlier in the day, Kamal Confirmed the speculations that the establishment was behind the political alliance between the MQM-P and PSP, adding the establishment had been calling the PSP to meet the MQM-P at the request of Sattar for the past eight months.

Speaking about ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Kaira said after the Supreme Court’s detailed verdict has answered Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) question had now received the answer to the question he repeatedly posed as to why he was ousted from the premier’s post.

“Judges have never been insulted so much in the past as they are being now by PML-N leaders,” he lamented.
