KARACHI: The Sindh government has imposed a ban on pillion riding in Karachi on October 9 and 10, according to a notification issued Wednesday.
The ban has been imposed to ensure security during Chehlum of Imam Hussain (RA) and companions.
A ban has been imposed on pillion riding in Karachi under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) on Oct 9 and 10, the notification issued by the Sindh home department read.
Meanwhile, Balochistan home department also banned pillion riding in Quetta on account of Chehlum Imam Hussain (RA).
