Muqam says PTI votes declined drastically due to poor performance

PESHAWAR: Prime Minister’s Adviser Engineer Ameer Muqam has said that the voting graft of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decreased in the NA-4 by-elections as compared to the 2013 general elections.

Addressing a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) meeting on Sunday, Muqam said that despite the support of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami (JUI-S)and JUI-Nazriati, the PTI votes decreased by at least 8, 000 in number.

He said the decline in the PTI votes was due to the party’s failure to act on its promises of ‘naya Pakistan’ and serving people.

He said that in 2018 the PML-N would win the majority of the votes because of its masses friendly policies, adding that the party will always serve masses.
