ATC dismisses plea seeking removal of terrorism clauses in shrine murder case

SARGODHA: The Sargodha Anti-terrorism Court (ATC) dismissed the application filed by the accused, seeking the removal of clauses of terrorism in a murder case of 20 people at a shrine, and summoned all eyewitnesses on next hearing.

The judge of Sargodha ATC Tariq Saleem Zargham on Tuesday heard the case pertaining to the murder of 20 people, including four women, in a shrine in Chak-95 North, some 17km from Sargodha.

Abdul Waheed, the custodian of the Ali Mohammad Qalandar shrine, along with his accomplices was produced before the court amid tight security. The court dismissed the application at the outset of the hearing, filed by the accused, pleading to remove the clauses of terrorism in the case.

The court adjourned the hearing till November 13.
