QUETTA: One suspected terrorist was killed and seven were arrested during intelligence-based operations carried out by Frontier Corps (FC) troops in Mastung and Rojhan Jamali on Friday.
A statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that troops had also seized a cache of arms and ammunition, including explosives, from the suspects’ possession. It also added that “19 terrorists and their facilitators were apprehended” and large number of illegal weapons were recovered in IBOs conducted by security forces during the last 48 hours in Dera Ghazi Khan, Attock, Islamabad and Lahore.
In three separate attacks on Thursday evening, a member of Panjgur Rifles was martyred and 40 people, including four security personnel, were injured in Panjgur, Gwadar and Mastung districts of Balochistan.
