Sindh IGP takes notice of protest by traders

KARACHI: Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) A.D. Khawaja has directed the East DIG to furnish report along with details about the media reports regarding protest by businessmen and traders against incidents of snatching and robberies in the Malir area here.

In a statement on Friday, he has directed to convene a meeting with the local businessmen and traders to take them into confidence and address their grievances.

The chiefhas also directed that the culprits involved in reported incidents of snatching and robberies be arrested in light of the statements of the businessmen and traders.

DETAILS SOUGHT ON REPORTED KILLING OF POLICEMAN:

Further, Khawaja has sought details regarding media reports about the death of a policeman in a reported firing incident at Sahibdad Goth in Saudabad area. He has asked the East DIG to immediately submit report about the steps taken by police in view of the killing of a policeman in the reported firing incident.
