Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) NA-120 by-polls candidate Yasmeen Rashid on Saturday lashed out at the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) by-polls campaigner Maryam Nawaz over her inexperience. Rashid ridiculed her campaign tactics and said Maryam is using bulletproof vehicles to ask for votes in the NA-120 constituency.
She said, “Maryam says people should vote for her mother so that her father could be saved.”
She alluded to Ch Nisar’s comments on a TV show, in which he called Maryam Nawaz a child and refused to accept her as his leader.
She has also previously expressed reservations about PML-N violating code of conduct for the campaign and has asked the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to take notice of the violations.
She alleged that pre-poll rigging was in full swing in the constituency. Around 30,000 voters remained unverified and the party had approached the ECP in this regard, but no action being taken.
A day earlier, PTI chairman Imran Khan had also addressed a public gathering in the constituency and billed the by-election as an important one to ‘determine the fate of the country.’
