Pakistani envoys moot: Asif seeks suggestions on how to deal with US

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif on Tuesday sought recommendations from Pakistani diplomats regarding the prevailing geopolitical situation, particularly on the new US Afghan policy and Trump’s allegations that Pakistan is harbouring terrorists.

While addressing the opening session of the Pakistani envoys conference in Islamabad, Asif emphasised Pakistan’s stance that there is no military solution to the Afghan war. He also insisted on the need to highlight continuing human rights violations in Indian occupied Kashmir on all available international platforms.

Among those attending the conference are Pakistan’s envoys from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE and Belgium.

The concluding session of the conference will be chaired by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
