Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan is committed to modernising facilities for the speedy transit of goods to and from Afghanistan and Tajikistan through Pakistani seaports.
Addressing Pakistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan summit in Dushanbe, he emphasised on early finalisation of Trilateral Transit Trade Agreement to streamline regional transit traffic.
The Prime Minister welcomed Tajik leader’s proposal for the establishment of a Tripartite Ministerial Commission to strengthen trilateral cooperation in political, economic and social spheres.
He said Pakistan wants lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan for regional security and prosperity.
