KARACHI: Crackdown as per National Action Plan (NAP) continues in Karachi as police arrest a target killer and several other suspects during an operation in different parts of the city the other day, it has been reported.
As per details, Counter Terrorism Department apprehended a proclaimed offender during an operation near Hub River Road. Sources said that the arrested, Nisar Ahmad Chandio, was wanted by police in a murder case and two cases of abduction.
Police conducted a raid in Landhi area and arrested at least four accused, According to SP Landhi, Arif Rao, arms and a stolen motorcycle was also recovered from the arrested.
As per police, seven others were arrested including two street criminals during an operation in Musa Colony area of Gulberg. Police sources said that four motorcycles and two TT pistols were also recovered from them.Moreover during a police operation in Orangi Town, a target killer namely Sajid alias Bona was apprehended. According to SP Orangi Town, Sajid was involved in several cases of target killing.
Police also recovered arms hidden in a sewerage line in Azizabad area as per the information provided by an under custody accused. Police sources said that one SMG and six magazines were seized during the operation.
