WASHINGTON: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry said that Pakistan Army has eliminated terrorists from the tribal areas adding that Pakistan is no longer a safe haven for the terrorists. He said this in an interview with The Washington Times.
He warned that the success of the operations could be compromised if the border with Afghanistan is not brought under control.
He also said Pakistan is waiting for the Trump administration to clarify its strategy for the Afghanistan conflict. He further remarked that Pakistan’s image as a “source of instability” and haven for militants is “out-of-date.”
