Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the Oscar award winning Pakistani filmmaker, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, for winning the Knight International Journalism Award.
In his message of felicitations, the chief minister said that winning an award from the International Center for Journalists is a great honour. The nation feels proud of the intelligent and bright women like Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, he added.
The chief minister further said that after winning the Oscar twice, by winning the Knight International Journalism Award, Sharmeen has proved that Pakistani women are not inferior to anyone. He advised other Pakistani women to exhibit their talents in the practical field as Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy has for the development and prosperity of the country.
