Aitzaz Ahsan calls out judiciary over ‘mafia’ remarks

Pakistan Peoples Party Senator Aitzaz Ahsan said that the judges should have given their judgments in writing and not passed remarks about the Sharif brothers being a mafia although he said that he agreed with the judges about the Sharif brothers being a mafia.

He was speaking to the media in the Parliament.

Ahsan said that he would submit documents against Prime Minister Nawaz before the joint investigation team (JIT) probing the Panama Papers case.

Talking about the judges’ remarks, he said that such acts do not suit the judiciary. “If I or some political rival [of the PM] say such things, it’d be okay,” he said.

He added that if the PML-N stays in the government, Nehal Hashmi will be the prime minister. According to him, the attack on judiciary was ‘well-planned’ and it was actually Nawaz speaking through Nehal in the controversial speech.
