The Abdul Wali Khan University has failed to issue original degrees to three thousand students due to which future plans of students are disturbed.
According to sources, the signature of Vice Chancellor (VC) is compulsory but the post of vice chancellor is vacant for the last six weeks. Due to the unavailability of a VC, the three thousand degrees of students await the signatures of the VC.
The university is running without a vice chancellor. It has plunged the university into an administrative crisis.
A M.S degree holder student told Pakistan Today that he applied for the convocation and paid fees for the degree but till date, he could not receive the degree that holds his future on stake He told that he qualified in a test for a foreign university scholarship programme but the non-issuing of the degree affected his mental health.
The provincial government has not appointed a VC yet due to which day-to-day workings have also slowed down.
The students and their parents demanded from the government to appoint a VC.
The Former Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Ihsan Ali completed his tenure on March 20th 2017 and then this seat fell vacant due to which students and their parents face many hardships.
