LAYYAH: A man committed suicide after murdering his children in Layyah city of Punjab.
Tariq Ismail poisoned his five children in Azam Chowk area of Layyah city. Following that he consumed the poison as well.
Ismail was rushed to Nishtar Hospital where he died during treatment.
The five children – identified as Tayyaba, Saba, Tanzeela, Shanza and Tayyab – died on the spot.
Police have started an investigation of the incident.
According to an initial probe, the man was divorced and his ex-wife had got married to another person.
