KARACHI: Mayor Wasim Akhtar on Friday said Karachi Metropolitan Corporation had launched the park’s facelift project to make it more suitable for families.
He also said that no one would be allowed to set up marriage lawns inside the parks.
“We have begun work on the facelift of Bagh Ibne Qasim with 200 of our staff working on it.” He claimed that most departments have been destroyed during the past eight years in the city, however his team was working hard to improve the departments and that he has complete support of all political parties.
He said wardens had been deployed across the parks in the city to safeguard them.
