Turkish labour delegation calls on Punjab labour minister

Turkish labour leaders under the leadership of Mursel Turby called on Punjab Labour and Human Resource Minister Raja Ashfaq Sarwar.

President of International Confederation of Labour Movement Mursel Turby, Vice President Recayi Kursli, Foreign Affairs coordinator Tufan Acar, secretary labour and Punjab labour leaders were present in the meeting.

Matters of mutual interest were discussed in the meeting and both the countries agreed to benefit from each other experiences. Both participants desired to work in collaboration with each other.

Turkish leaders told that international confederation of labour movement is consisting of 20 countries and wanted Pakistan to be a part of it. Furthermore, they also proposed a plan for Muslim labour representation, all over the globe in order to protect the rights of Muslim labourers through a united platform which will be more effective and fruitful.

The Provincial minister welcomed Turkish delegation and said that his department is always ready to offer all kind of services. The minister elaborated and explained the way and working of social security, labour welfare board and told how the rights of labourers are protected and ensured. He said that our brotherly relations were based on decades and we should closely coordinate with each other.

Moreover, he also told that the skilled labour is being imparted to children for finding reasonable employments.

In the end, he thanked the delegation and directed them to come up with a more concrete plan in order to put the theoretical plan into practice.
