Tortured Larkana cadet discharged from US hospital

NEW YORK: The victim of torture at Petaro Cadet College Larkana Muhammad Ahmad has once again been discharged from the hospital after undergoing a minor surgery yesterday.

Ahmad’s medical treatment continues in the United States. According to Ahmad’s parents, Ahmad has to visit the hospital for a check-up three times.

Muhammad Ahmed, the young student who was allegedly tortured by his teacher, arrived in the United States in mid-February 2017 for medical treatment at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Ohio.

Ahmed had been studying at the Larkana cadet College when, in November of last year, he was allegedly tortured by his teacher as punishment to such a degree that he was left mute and paralysed.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, in November, had approved his treatment and directed the health department to make the necessary travel arrangements for Ahmed and his father.
