A citizen was fired upon and had threats hurled upon him by the sons of deputy superintendent of the police (DSP) Malik Ijaz. Waqar, the victim, submitted an application in the Race Course Police Station alleging that the sons of DSP Malik Ijaz had threatened him and opened fire at him.
Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of the incident and has suspended the DSP. The sons of the DSP, Ali and Bilal have also been arrested.
A case has been registered against both the accused.
