JI for ‘education emergency’ in Pakistan

Blaming corruption for falling standard of education in the country, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Amir Senator Sirajul Haq has said that when their party would come into power, it would announce an education emergency in Pakistan.

Addressing a moot here on Saturday, he said every girl in Pakistan could be given free education, if corruption was uprooted from the country. He said the corrupt rulers have amassed ill-gotten properties and assets in London and Dubai. He said his party when in power would also bring this looted wealth back to Pakistan.

He said, ‘If the trillions of rupees looted from Pakistan, presently hoarded in Swiss and other foreign banks, are brought back every Pakistani could be provided free healthcare facilities’.
