UNITED NATIONS: UN chief Antonio Guterres on Monday condemned the latest salvo of ballistic missile launches by North Korea and urged Pyongyang to refrain from further “provocations.”
“Such actions violate Security Council resolutions and seriously undermine regional peace and stability,” Guterres’ spokesman Farhan Haq said in a statement.
“The Secretary-General reiterates his call for the DPRK leadership to refrain from further provocations and comply fully with its international obligations.”
The Security Council was expected to hold an emergency meeting to discuss the four missile launches, three of which landed close to Japan.
