The Punjab government on Saturday imposed Section-144, banning assembly of four or more people across the province.
The ban will come into effect from midnight today (Satuarday) and remain valid till November 7.
According to a notification issued by the Home Department, violators of the ban will be dealt with strictly.
The move comes despite clashes between opposition protestors and police in lslamabad.
Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) strongly condemned the ban and use of brutal force against the peaceful workers.
Dozens of PTI workers were detained by Islamabad police on charges of violation of Section 144.
