Following the crackdown and arrests of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers at Youth Convention by the police, PTI Chairman Imran Khan has announced countrywide protests against the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government.

He said PTI had already announced that the government would have to bear the consequences if it initiates violence.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Tahirul Qadri announced support for PTI protests.

This is a developing story.
