Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday said that he has always reacted on anti-army statements of former president Asif Ali Zardari.
The minister said that he had written the note to appreciate Zardari’s stance at the all parties conference on military courts, adding that linking that note with Zardari’s anti-army statements was not appropriate.
He said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were against constitutional amendments in military courts but Asif Ali Zardari played an important role in breaking this deadlock.
Earlier, private television channel’s journalist linked Nisar’s note with Zardari’s statements that angered the federal minister.
