A retired major of the Pakistan Army was shot dead in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) neighbourhood on Saturday.
According to police sources, unidentified men riding a motorbike shot dead Ali Raza, former army major, in DHA’s Phase 1.The body of the deceased was brought to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). AIG Karachi Mushtaq Ahmed Mahar told media that police were probing as to whether it was a targeted killing or sectarian or robbery related incident. At present, exact motive of the murder could not be confirmed, he added.
