At least 18 people died while more than two dozen others wounded when an over speeding trailer overturned on different vehicles on Monday.
Levies sources said that the accident occurred in Mangochar area of Kalat district where driver of an over speeding trailer lost control of vehicle and after hitting several vehicles overturned on them.
As a result of accident 11 people died on the spot while 32 including three women sustained wounds. The injured were shifted to Nawab Ghous Baksh Memorial Hospital in Mastung. Seven more expired during shifted to hospital and treatment raising death toll to 18.
Emergency was declared in hospitals of Kalat and Mastung while the people with critical wounds were referred to Quetta.
Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Maalik Baloch has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives in Mangochar accident. He sought a report about the mishap and directed the concerned authorities to provide best medical facilities to the injured persons.
