Aqeel alias Dr. Usman, GHQ assailant, along with five other terrorist is expected to be hanged in 24 hours, a private news channel reported.
Aqeel alias Dr. Usman Aqeel ,the lone convict in 2009 GHQ attack case and Arshad Mehmood, convicted for an assassination attempt on former military ruler, General (retd.) Pervez Musharraf are among the convicts to be given death sentence.
According to the sources, arrangements for the final meetings of the prisoners with their families are made.
Death penalties are to be carried out after Chief of Army Staff (COAS) approved death warrants for six militants on death row as Prime Minister(PM) Nawaz Sharif ended a moratorium on capital punishment in terror-related cases.
All the six terrorists were convicted by a military court and were awaiting execution.
